I bought 1-1/2” at #2.5 for my National Parks Passport book Collector’s Edition. It fits the book well. I could have gone with #2. For anyone else with this book that also uses the branded leather cover, 1-1/2” will not work for you. About 1/2” to 3/4” of the book’s cover will be not covered by the leather. This was my second attempt at getting the right coil. The first was at another Etsy store where the coil is marketed specifically for the passport books. Their product details were minimal and just states 1.5”. I decided to try 1.5” here because I had more confidence in the listing specs. I just ordered two additional sizes from this vendor in hopes I can get the right diameter for use with my leather cover and also still accommodate the current thickness of my pages. I’m trying 1-1/4” and 1-1/8” at #2.5. Stay tuned.

I had a comb bound cookbook that needed replacement. I wanted a more durable lay-flat binding, but that meant a very odd size spiral. This was a perfect match and I’m delighted I didn’t need to order a hundred from a wholesale dealer. Cute color was a great bonus!
